Here are the winners of the Dance in the Rain
contest hosted by
Last Tango in Paris
This manipulation came closest to the challenge "dancing in the rain" Although the lighting is not perfect, he really made an effort to get it right. I particularly like the black and white with the red. The inside of the umbrella is a stroke of genius
(the lipstick a bit to much but the, the rest looks great and it is very different from our usual entries).
It's Raining Bubbles" It's Raining Bubbles"
Taking the title of the contest literally; the little girl and dog look like they are dancing. Additionally, the artist has taken the concept of rain "outside the box" and added bubbles, which I believe is plausible as we know they form in puddles! The detail of light reflecting in the bubbles was done well, although given time, I'm sure the candles would have been extinguished! I love the overall atmosphere, but more, the choice of characters!
"Let's Make a Splash"
This is a lighthearted, clever piece showing the dance with a favored pet. The artist has shown skilled use of blending and I notice that the reflection of the two figures is masterfully done. All in all an excellent work.
